Private Harry Ward, 1st Battalion the Cameron Highlanders was reported missing between October 22 and October 24. Word has been received from the War Office the his is now reported to have been Killed. Private Ward, who served in the South African War, was a Reservist and was employed at Dub’s Works, Polmadie, when war broke out. He resided at 45 Toryglen Street, SS, Glasgow. He leaves a widow and three children.
Newspaper transcript – Private Henry Ward, of the 1st Battalion Cameron Highlanders, who resided at 45 Toryglen Street, Glasgow, and was reported missing between October 22 and October 24, is now officially reported to have been killed. He served in the Boer War, and was employed at Dubs’ Works, Polmadie, when war broke out.
