Daily Record 7/12/1915

Newspaper transcriptRutherglen. Mr. and Mrs. Robertson, 13 Regent Street, Rutherglen, have received official information of the death of their son, Pte. John Robertson (18247), 5th Cameron Highlanders, who was killed by shell fire. He was employed at the spindle works of E. Simpson and Co., Rutherglen, prior to joining the Army. (Unsure as to why the article has his name as John as all other details point to James).
