Newspaper transcript – Rutherglen Officer Killed. Intimation has been received by Mr James Wilson, 25 Kirkwood Street, Rutherglen, that his son, Second Lieut. Andrew Wilson, Royal Scots, was killed on July 16. He joined the Army in June, 1915, was wounded in May, 1916, and received his commission last February. Prior to enlistment he was in the office of Messrs Singers, Clydebank. Lieut. Wilson was 24 years of age.
