Newspaper transcript – Sergt. J. Thomson, Rutherglen. Mrs Thomson, 28 Stonelaw Road, Rutherglen, has received intimation that her husband, Sergt. J. Thomson, Scottish Rifles, who was reported missing on July 20 last, is now presumed to have been killed on that date. He had 22 years service, and held two South African War Medals.
