Newspaper transcript – Mrs Margaret Goldie, 15 Monteith Street, Bridgeton, has been officially informed that her husband, Sergeant T. Goldie, 1/7th H.L.I., was killed in action at the Dardanelles on July 12. Sergeant Goldie was connected with the battalion for over 13 years, and prior to mobilisation was employed as a stonecutter with Messrs Imrie, Polmadie Road.
