Newspaper transcript – Official intimation has been received by Miss E. Baird, 53 Mill Street, Rutherglen, that her brother, Private Thomas Baird, Seaforth Highlanders, has been killed in action in France. Private Baird who was 26 years of age, had been seven years in the Army.
