Newspaper transcript – Mr William Harvey, 85 Radnor Street, Clydebank, has received information of the death of his son, Sapper John Harvey (23), 2nd Lowland Divisional Engineers (T.). Harvey was a native of Rutherglen. He had been eight months in the trenches, and at the time he was killed he was engaged with others building a bridge. Sapper Harvey was employed at Singers’ Works prior to going to the front.
