Newspaper transcript – Drum. G. Gemmell, Glasgow. Mr and Mrs Gemmell, 11 Mill Croft Row, Rutherglen Road, have received official intimation that their son,  Drummer Geo. Gemmell, Seaforth Highlanders, died of wounds on March 23, 1918. He was 20 years and 11 months old, and was a salesman with B.O.V. Society, Bridgeton.
