Newspaper transcript – Mrs Airens or Jackson, 280 King Street, Rutherglen, has received official information that her son, Private Daniel Airens, Scottish Rifles, missing since the battle of Loos, September 25, 1915, is now officially reported killed on that date. Private Airens was 18 years age. Mrs Airens has four other sons ? on active service. Before enlisting Private D. Airens was ?  Dechmont Colliery, Flemington.
