Newspaper transcript – Pte. D. Elliot, Glasgow. Mr James Elliot, 1120 Argyle Street, Sandyford, has received intimation that his sone, Pte. David Elliot, H.L.I., was killed in action on September 26. He was 19 years of age, and before enlisting was employed with Mr G. B. McKean, C. A., Glasgow. He is the second son to be killed.
Also commemorated on the memorial at Stonelaw High School, Rutherglen and on a family headstone in Cupar Cemetery, Fife.
