Newspaper transcript – Pte. D. McGill, Rutherglen. Private David McGill, K.O.S.B., son of Mrs McGill, 11 Mitchell Street, Rutherglen, has been killed on active service after being three years with the colours. He was through the Dardenelles operations. He was only 19 years of age and was in the employment of the Caledonian Railway Company at Polmadie prior to joining the Forces.
