Newspaper transcript – Ex-Police Inspector Donald Fraser, who has died at his residence, 57 Queen Street, Rutherglen, was a native of Kirkhill, near Inverness. Joining the Govan Police he was later transferred to Rutherglen as a constable, and after service in the office of the Procurator-Fiscal at Hamilton, was promoted to Rutherglen as Inspector, a position he held for 20 years, retiring in 1906. He held the King’s Medal, acted as recruiting agent in Rutherglen in connection with the Derby scheme, and was Sergeant-Major at Bellahouston Hospital.
