Newspaper transcript – Pte. Geo. Kerr, Rutherglen. Mr and Mrs Kerr, 16 Greenhill Road, Rutherglen, have received word that their only son, Pte. George Macfarlan Kerr, Scottish Rifles, reported missing on July 20, 1916, is now presumed to have been killed on that date. Pte. Kerr was 191⁄2 years of age, and previous to enlisting an apprentice caulker in Clydebank Shipyard.
