Newspaper transcript – Private G. Madden, Rutherglen. Intimation has been received by Mr and Mrs David Madden, 278 King Street, Rutherglen, that their son, Private George Madden, Seaforth, died of wounds in hospital on December 25. He was 30 years of age, joined the Army last March and was previously employed with Messrs William Chalmers and Son, Broomloan Shipyard, Rutherglen.
