Newspaper transcript – Mrs Gough, 5 Barnflat Street, Farme Cross, Rutherglen, has received official information of the death of her husband, Private John Court Gough, of the 2nd H.L.I., who was killed in France on October 2. He joined the Army at the outbreak of war, and was sent to France in May of this years. In civil life he was employed at Gateside Colliery, Cambuslang. He was 20 years old, and has left a widow and one child.
