Gemmell, 15 Milcroft Row, Glasgow, S.S., has received official intimation that her son, Private John Gemmell, 8th Seaforth Highlanders, was killed in action in France on September 25. Before enlisting on August 29 last year, Private Gemmell who was 24 years of age, was employed in No. 6 Pit (Wm. Dixon, Ltd), Rutherglen.
