Newspaper transcript – Mr and Mrs Monney, 19 Regent Street, Rutherglen, have been notified that their son, Private John Monney, Seaforth, who had been missing since the battle of Loos, is presumed to have bee killed on that day. He was 19 years of age and prior to enlistment worked in the Farme Pit, Rutherglen.
