Newspaper transcript – Pte J. W. R. Paton, Rutherglen. Mr and Mrs Paton, 227 Main Street, Rutherglen, have been officially notified that their son, Pte John W. R. Paton, K.O.S.B., has been killed in action. He was 19 years of age. Previous to enlistment he was employed in the warehouse of Messrs J. and W. Campbell, Glasgow.
