Newspaper transcript – Rutherglen Officer Succumbs. Second Lieutenant Joseph McLaren Morrison, London Regimen, who has died from wounds, was the only son of the late Mrs Boyd, 29 Balvaird Drive, Rutherglen. He was educated at John Street, Higher-Grade School, and was employed with Messrs Marshall and Co., 45 West Nile Street, Glasgow, previous to enlisting. He was in his 22nd year, and received his commission in June, 1917.
