Newspaper transcript – Pte. M. Gillies, Rutherglen. Mrs Gillies, 79 Cambuslang Road, Rutherglen, has received intimation that her husband, Pte. Malcolm Gillies, Labour Coy., was killed on January 9. He was 40 years of age, and prior to joining the Army he was an upholsterer in Glasgow.
