Newspaper transcript – Mrs P. Harkins, 8 Bouverie Street, Rutherglen, has received official intimation that her husband Private Patrick Harkins, Royal Scots Fusiliers, was killed in action on October 15. Before enlisting he was employed as a collier in Dixon’s Colliery. He leaves a widow and five children.
