Newspaper transcript – Prisoner of War’s Death. News has been received by Mr and Mrs Woodburn, 71 Dryburgh Avenue, Rutherglen, of the death of their son, Private Robert C. Woodburn, of the H.L.I., at a Prisoners of War Camp in Germany. Private Woodburn, who was 27 years of age, was a Teller at the Clydesdale Bank, Lanark, before enlisting, a position he held for nearly two years. Private Woodburn was taken prisoner about four months ago.
