Newspaper transcript – Official information has been received by Mr and Mrs Kiltie, 8 Barnflat Square, Rutherglen, that their son, Private Robert H. Kiltie, 7th H.L.I., was killed in action at the Dardanelles on July 12, 1915. he was a native of Glasgow, and previous to enlisting was employed in Buchanan Brothers, Carrick Street, Anderson, Glasgow. He had joined the Territorials two months before the war, and was 19 years of age.
