Newspaper transcript – Glasgow Officer Killed. Lieutenant Robert Kerr, London Regiment, who has been killed, was the third son on Mr John Kerr, manufacturing chemist, Mathieson Street, Glasgow, S.S. He joined the 5th Scottish Rifles immediately war broke out as was gazetted to the London Regiment in November, 1915. Lieutenant Kerr married Miss Isabella Crichton, daughter of Mr and Mrs Walter Crichton, Belgrave, Rutherglen in October, 1914. He was a member of his father’s firm.

Also commemorated on the memorial in Rutherglen Old Parish Church and on the family headstone in Rutherglen Cemetery.
