Newspaper transcript – Mr and Mrs T. Crichton, 4 Wallace Street, Rutherglen, have been officially advised that their son, Private T. Crichton, 10th Gordons, has been missing since September 25. He was 19 years of age, joined at the outbreak of war, went to France in July, and was last seen on the top of Hill 70. He was employed in Alley and McLellan’s as an apprentice engineer. Any information regarding him will be thankfully received by his parents. Mr Crichton’s eldest son, Private Joe Crichton, 2nd Seaforth, fell at Ypres on May 24. He was 26 years of age, and served seven years in India.
