Newspaper transcript – Mr and Mrs Duncan, 81 High Street, Rutherglen, have received official intimation of the death in action of their son, Private Thomas Duncan, Machine Gun Section. He had gained the Military medal for ? bravery on the field. Before enlisting he was employed as a miner in Dixon’s Colliery.
