Newspaper transcript – Pte. W. Callaghan, Rutherglen. Mr Patrick Callaghan, ? Street, Rutherglen has been notified that his son, Pte. William Callaghan, Scottish Rifles, died of wounds on January 29. He was 20 years of age and had been through the Dardanelles campaign. Prior to the outbreak of war he was employed with Messers Stewarts and Lloyds, Dalmarnock Road.
