Newspaper transcript – Pte. W. J. Douglas, Glasgow. Mr G. A. H. Douglas, 172 Hope Street, Glasgow, has received official intimation that his only son, Pte. Wm. James Douglas, Scottish Rifles, was killed in action on November 23. He had been through the Gallipoli campaign. Private Douglas was 27 years of age, and was formerly with his father’s firm, of G. A. H. Douglas and Co., stationers, Glasgow.
