Newspaper transcript – Rutherglen Janitor Dies of Wounds. Sergt. William Stoddart, 7th Seaforth Highlanders, who resided at Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen, who was the janitor of Macdonald School, died yesterday at Warrington Hospital from wounds received in action in France. he will be buried on Friday with military honours. Sergt. Stoddart was most popular in the school. He leaves a widow.
