Newspaper transcript – A young Scotchman who enlisted with the 48th Highlanders is Private Archibald Wilson Corson, now reported missing, and from whom his relatives have not heard for many weeks. Private Corson was a laborer in East Toronto, who he joined, and was living at the home of his brother, Mr James W. Corson, of 49 Swanwick Street. He is aged 22, and came to this country at the age of 16.

Newspaper transcript – A. W. Corson of Toronto Now Reported Killed. Fate of member of the 15th Battalion, previously reported missing, is now reported killed. He lived in Toronto, but was a native of Rutherglen.
Corson was a member of ‘D’ company, 45th Highlanders, 15th Battalion, and lived at 49 Swanwick Avenue. He was officially reported killed in the battle of St. Julien, and later was reported missing on the date of September 15, 1915.
