Newspaper transcript – Mr. and Mrs. Sharp, 7 Kildare Street, Rutherglen, have been advised that their nephew, Corporal Wm. McMillan was killed in action at the Dardanelles on July 13. Corporal McMillan, who had served twelve years in different parts of the world, before being called up was employed by Messrs. White, chemical manufacturers, Rutherglen. He took part in the defence of Antwerp, after which he was sent to Gallipoli.
